    Dear APHMG Colleagues:

Make your plans now to attend the 2025 APHMG Annual Meeting!

The APHMG 2025 Annual Meeting and Special Interest Group meetings will take place on May 6-9, 2025 In Virginia Beach, VA.

Our annual meeting will include plenary sessions on current topics important to genetics educators, a poster session and talks, and plenty of time for networking and connecting with colleagues at the reception, dinners and fun group activities! In addition, each of the APHMG Special Interest Groups (SIG) (Residency Program Directors, Medical School Course Directors, and Laboratory Fellowship Program Directors) will have individual meetings designed for discussion, problem solving and the development and sharing of common resources.

OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY: The DEI Committee will again be organizing genetics education outreach activities at Title 1 middle and high schools in the Virginia Beach area. Volunteers will work together using pgEd curriculum materials to develop a lesson plan that connects with what students are learning in the classroom you are visiting. Plans are finalized 2- 4 weeks before the conference, once we have heard back from the host teachers.  Volunteers should plan to arrive on Monday May 5 so they can spend most of the day on Tuesday May 6 at the schools. Please indicate your interest in participating in this fun program on the meeting registration form. You can also reach out directly to Shoumita Dasgupta (dasgupta@bu.edu).

All attendees will be able to:

    • Attend interactive panel discussions and workshop sessions
    • Interact through live Q&A in each session
    • Visit Posters and connect in person with authors
    • Network with other attendees and speakers
    • Use free time to reconnect with colleagues and spark new connections

We look forward to hearing from you and hope to see you at the meeting!

    Special Thanks to our Sponsors
